Myanmar trade volume hit almost US$9
billion in the first half of the fiscal year, according to official
figures from the Ministry of Commerce.
Myanmar exports from April-October reached $4.64 billion while imports hit $4.32 billion, or a total trade of $8.96 billion.
Exports for the same period last year
amounted to $5 billion while imports reached $4.6 billion, or a total
trade of $9.10 billion.
Jade exports decreased, and fuel,
cooking oil and machineries imports similarly declined. However, beans
exports increased helping slow down the trade reduction.
